Origine

Return to the origins in the heart of Italian cuisine.

Origine's founder reached out to me to design the logo, menu, and business card for their restaurant, a promising restaurant in Terni a small city close to Rome.

Origine is Maurizio Serva’s new restaurant project in the Umbrian city, counting on the delicious culinary proposal of the 2 Michelin star chef. The renowned chef has embarked on this new adventure alongside his son Amedeo, crossing the regional border to focus on Terni, the capital of the Umbrian province, to shine as their very own first gastronomic reference point.

feedback from the client

We knew straight from the start that developing a strong brand identity would be of the utmost importance to create and establish Origine as a reference point in the city’s gastronomy. We decided to entrust this vital challenge to Inês, and she certainly did not betray our expectations by always providing not only exciting but also compelling ideas. She did the work in record time by promptly adjusting her proposals to our needs. This result was only possible thanks to Inês’s ability to grasp the essence of the project and to identify the spirit of Origine.

process snapshots

I collaborated closely with the client to create a visually appealing brand identity for Origine. The process began with research about the restaurant, its target audience, and its competitors. Based on our discussions and the client's vision, we developed a brand strategy to guide the design process.

Moodboards
moodboards

We explored various concepts through mood boards, focusing on aesthetics, typography, color schemes, and imagery. This was a helpful method to move forward and choose a direction to follow.

Logo
logo design

The logo was designed through an iterative process of a few rounds of feedback and refinement. I explored various concepts, and experimented with typography, and visual elements, carefully honing the design until we achieved a final logo that captured the essence and personality of the brand. This iterative approach ensured that the logo became a powerful visual representation of the brand's identity.
