Rigs Hospital reached out to Fjord/Accenture to create a digital solution to ensure that teenagers have a safe space to be themselves even though they are undergoing difficult times at the hospital. Thus, we have designed, porptotyped, and tested the UngeUnivers app, through which teens can learn and own their surroundings, forge new friendships, share memories, and create new ones.
As Mary Elisabeth's Hospital is being built in Copenhagen to start operating in 2025, there are several ongoing initiatives to imagine an integrated and holistic experience for children and teenagers undergoing treatment in the facilities. UngeUnivers comes in as an exclusive social media - a universe that bundles all relevant events happening at the hospital creating fun, seamless, and effortless opportunities for social interaction and physical
activity.

Accenture V360 Award (innovating to deliver 360° value to the clients, company, and community)
Inês has been a vital part of our team at BørneRiget (the new children’s hospital that has recently been renamed Mary Elizabeths Hospital), where she among other things has been responsible for driving key activities in designing the final prototype of the digital TeenUniverse for hospitalized teenagers, to help them gain a sense of belonging and normalcy, stay connected with family and friend, and help form new relationship while at the hospital to support a positive patient journey.
Inês’ work has been highly impactful, the feedback from using the prototype together with the hospital staff has been brilliant, both from clinical staff and technical developers. The visual designs that Inês has crafted has been highly creative, engaging on every level, and immersive in targeting the age group of the patients. The work Inês has driven is now featured on both the website of the children’s hospital and on the website of the children’s hospital foundation. Going forward, it will be great if Inês can help bring even further insights that can support such digital universes, in particular with the context of good health and well-being of children and adolescents in mind as a key focus group.
Inês has approached the project with super positive energy and great creativity throughout every iteration that it has been through. She is great at comprehending the many inputs from the many different types of client stakeholders, and effectively incorporating these in very creative ways in collaboration together with our team. I will be more than happy to have Inês on our team again, she brings great energy, solid visual design skills, great teamwork, and creative ways to solve any issues at hand. The work that the team at BørneRiget has performed has recently been nominated for the Accenture V360 Community Award.

Inês did a fantastic job for the BørneRiget project. Understanding very quickly the context of the project, and very quickly suggesting amazing ideas, exemplified on perfect visual designs. The client was really happy with the results and was able to utilize the project output to advocate for continuation of the work. The visual design work was high quality, impecable and rich in details. But Inês went beyond just the visuals, she tapped into service design aspects, looking fully to the experience and how to improve the live of children in the hospital. Inês is very proative and dedicated. Sometimes she needs to balance workload with personal life to not be overloaded.

It has been a pleasure to work with you Inês. In particular, here are some of things that I think you are already doing well. Attention To Detail: You have a knack for being organised and working very fast. I really appreciate the quality of work you produce even when you are under pressure to deliver. Talented Visual Designer: You excel at your craft and are very proactive when it comes to taking on additional tasks in projects. During the Børneriget project, I appreciated how you brought focus to the branding aspect by pushing for a discussion about brand principles and even took the lead on editing the final delivery deck to include all work done in phase 2. I also appreciated your feedback on the animations and transitions for the prototype. Communication Skills: You are very articulate in both, communicating within the team as well as interfacing with the client. You are able to present often complex scenarios and UI decisions in a way that is understandable for everyone. People Oriented: I really appreciate that you are always trying to find a way for the team to connect more. You clearly have excellent people skills and I always look forward to working with you.

Inês is a very talented and skilled visual designer. I had the honour of working with her on the BørneRiget project where she was instrumental to not only the visual outcome, but to also the thinking that made the project a success. On the visual design side she developed a continuation of the brand components and created an inclusive and inviting visual universe for the digital experience. She crafted detailed individual screens and features and tied the experience together to a very tangible and easily digestible prototype. Her contribution helped create a simple design solution to a very complex medical and deeply human problem for teen patients.
As a member of the team she leaned into all of the ambiguity with great energy, initiative and a sense of ownership which was felt by both the team and the client. I could easily see Inês have more responsibility on future projects. I would love to work on another project with her again. Inês is a rising star and she was a big part of what made this project an awesome experience!
